Perfect Beach Hair isn’t just about the blond tips and shapely waves. It is about the the texture, the grit, the reflection of light. Its the re-creation of Mother Nature’s hand on your aesthetic — the fabled effortless lived in look.
I have a perfect way to achieve this with natures own products and very little handy work by you.
You can use this technique when on vacation at the beach. If the sandy shores aren’t accessible to you then you can mimic the look using some readily available products easily found at your local salon or apothecary.
The key to the look is this — Salt and Oil — that’s all it takes
If you are to be by the beach dip those beautiful locks in Mother Earth’s healing oceans and let that salty water soak in. When you come out of the water set your hair in place. by this I mean give it a shake make sure nothing is bunched up or matted. different hair types will require a different level of attention but the goal is to leave it imperfect enough. Let that dry up in summer breeze before headed back in. When you next shower be careful not to rinse this textured look out of the hair. Instead leave it be because next were going to get your beau or yourself to work in some natural oil, I recommend jojoba oil for regular hair or kikui oil for denser hair types. Start light and mind the hairlines and roots you can always add more if you want that exaggerated depth and texture in these crucial areas. Work it ithrough and allow it to absorb. This will create definition, depth, and encourage the wave in your hair. There you have it
If you dont have the access to the beaches do the same using your favorite surf spray alowing the product to dry into the hair before adding a light oil. Note that doing this look “artificially” may require less product and not be offer such an extreme finish as it would when done in nature.
*This can be done day after day when on vacation adding more salt and more oil afterwards. layering the look makes its more bohemian and creates beautiful twisty locks.
